Are you a yoga fanatic? Or have you wanted to try, but there is something holding you back? Well, I just ran into this ongoing event on Saturday morning that will give you no excuses. Lululemon Dallas is offering a FREE class Saturday morning from 9am to 10am. If you don’t have a mat no worries they will provide one for you. I
started doing Yoga over a year ago and I loved it. I remember after my first time my body felt so loose and relaxed. It was a great change from my everyday cardio and weight training.
The Lululemon is located at the 8687 N. Central Expressway, 75225. I have not been to the studio in Dallas which I am very excited about trying out. But I have been to the one in Atlanta and loved it. The atmosphere is very uplifting! It’s a great way to start the day. Will you be attending any of the free yoga classes offered during the Free Yoga Festival this week?

The Switch

I just saw the trailer for The Switch starring Jennifer Aniston and the movie looks pretty cute. It is about a woman who decides that she is going to get artificially inseminated since she has no one special in her life. The twist is that the donor is her best friend, but she doesn’t know that and he does. After 7 years she decides to move back into the same town as her best friend and that’s when he realizes that it is his son. It looks like a cute romantic comedy.
I was thinking about going to AMC Northpark to watch it this weekend but I may wait until it comes out on DVD. I think the only reason I’ll head to the movies is if it’s raining and I’ll go see The Expendables. If you haven’t seen the trailer for The Switch you can view it below:
Are you going to watch it in theaters or wait until it’s on DVD?

This weekend, August 20th through August 22nd, is the Lions Club Balloon Festival and Fair. I love going to fairs! There is gong to be tons of little events going on throughout this festival. I went last year and one of my favorites was watching the balloon event. They have them on Saturday and Sunday morning. There is a pancake
breakfast at 6am and then the balloon races start at 7am. I am always in awe at the beauty of all the balloons. There will also be live music, exhibits, and fair rides everyday.
Some of the fair rides include The Pirate, The Cobra, Fun House, Traffic Jam, and many more. . . I don’t think I am ever going to get too old to enjoy the fair rides. The bands that will be performing each night include Mike Roberts, Kat Moore Band, and Linda Atwell Duo. Admission is free to the event, but they are taking $5 donations for parking.
Are you going to be at Copperas Branch Park this weekend?

Bring Happy into the Hour at Pyramid Restaurant

I went to Pyramid Restaurant last Thursday for their Wednesday and Thursday Happy Hour event for the first time. My co-workers and I had been hearing about it from several of our other friends so we decided to go. We had a blast. It was an upscale place and there were a lot of business professionals there which was good for meeting new people. We were a little hungry so we got the Veggie Start which was pretty good. It had hummus and another type of tomato based dip with pita and grilled bread. And we got the Garam Masala Somosa which is roasted
cauliflower, a chutney and raita. It is a well known Indian dish which was amazing!
If you have never been to Pyramid Restaurant I highly recommend it! We had a blast and plan to go back this week. We are going to sit down and enjoy dinner since we loved the appetizers last time. Have you been here before? Where do you like to go for happy hour?

Art comes alive this Friday at the Living Gallery Project. This is a one night body painting exhibit that is taking place at the Brooklyn Jazz Café. The gallery will feature the world’s top body artists, including Jeff Thornton, Michael Rosner and the current world champions, brothers Nick and Brian Wolfe. The Wolfe brothers are known globally for their special effects in film and TV, including FX Network’s Nip/Tuck, Syfy (formerly the Sci Fi Channel) and the Discovery Channel. Thornton is a body-painting artist from Dallas, and Rosner’s work has been lauded in galleries from Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco, as well as internationally in Austria and Germany.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at the Brooklyn Jazz Cafe website. They will not only be providing the venue but music to accompany the amazing artwork that is being shown that night. I can’t wait to go to this event. I find body art very beautiful. It gets so detailed and intricate, it amazes me how the artist can transform the body.
Have you been to a body art exhibit before?
